Registration, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Effective date: August 14, 2026

This policy applies to Parents To Be programs, series and individual classes. The dates, location, schedule, tuition, payment deadlines and other details for each offering will be provided during registration and will form part of the registration agreement.

Registration and Payment

Registration is confirmed once the required registration form has been completed, the registration terms have been accepted and the required deposit or full payment has been received.

Unless otherwise stated, one registration includes two registered attendees.

Published tuition prices do not include GST. Applicable GST will be added as required.

Some programs and series require a deposit, with the remaining tuition balance due by the date provided during registration. The deposit is applied toward the total tuition when the registration proceeds.

If the remaining balance is not received by the payment deadline, Parents To Be may cancel the registration and release the reserved spaces. The deposit will not be refunded.

How to Cancel

Cancellation requests must be emailed to [email protected].

The cancellation date is the date on which Parents To Be receives the email. References to 14 days mean 14 calendar days before the scheduled beginning of the offering.

Preparing for Parenthood and The Essentials

Cancellations received at least 14 days before the offering begins will receive a refund of amounts paid, minus the deposit paid.

Cancellations received fewer than 14 days before the offering begins will not be refunded.

Individual Classes

Cancellations received at least 14 days before the offering begins will receive a refund, minus 20% of the full tuition.

Cancellations received fewer than 14 days before the offering begins will not be refunded.

Refunds After an Offering Has Begun

Once an offering has begun, registration fees are non-refundable except under the following provisions:

  • the First-Class Guarantee, where applicable;

  • the early arrival of a participant's baby; or

  • pregnancy loss.

First-Class Guarantee

The First-Class Guarantee applies only to Preparing for Parenthood and The Essentials.

Attend the first program day. If the offering is not right for you, email [email protected] within 24 hours of the scheduled end of that day.

Parents To Be will refund the remaining tuition. The first program day is valued at $300 plus GST and will not be refunded.

The registration will end when the guarantee is used. Participants will retain materials already provided but will not receive coursebooks or other materials for the remaining classes.

If Your Baby Arrives Earlier Than Expected

Parents To Be recognizes that your plans and ability to attend may change if your baby arrives earlier than expected.

Before the offering begins

You may choose to:

  1. Continue with the offering. You are welcome to attend with your baby.

  2. Have one registered participant attend while the other remains home with the baby. Both participants will retain access to the course materials included with the offering.

  3. Cancel the registration and receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit and any applicable GST. No cancellation fee will apply.

After the offering has begun

You may choose to:

  1. Continue with the offering. You are welcome to attend the remaining classes with your baby.

  2. Have one registered participant attend the remaining classes while the other remains home with the baby. Both participants will retain access to the course materials included with the offering.

  3. Withdraw from the remainder of the offering and receive a refund of the tuition allocated to classes that have not yet occurred, together with the corresponding GST. No cancellation fee will apply.

Refunds are not available for classes that occurred before Parents To Be received notice of the withdrawal, including classes the participants did not attend.

Participants who withdraw retain materials already provided but do not receive coursebooks or other materials for classes refunded under this provision.

Pregnancy Loss

In the event of pregnancy loss:

  • Before the offering begins: The registration may be cancelled for a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit and any applicable GST. No cancellation fee will apply.

  • After the offering has begun: The registration may be cancelled for a refund of the tuition allocated to classes that have not yet occurred, together with the corresponding GST. No cancellation fee will apply.

Refunds are not available for classes that occurred before Parents To Be received notice of the cancellation.

Participants retain materials already provided but do not receive coursebooks or other materials for classes refunded under this provision.

Missed Classes

Missed classes will not be refunded, and make-up classes are not available. Parents will still receive the coursebook and any other materials included with that class.

Change of Venue

If an offering is moved to a different venue, registered participants will be notified as soon as possible.

If the new location prevents a participant from attending, they may cancel by emailing [email protected] before the first scheduled class at the new venue.

  • If the offering has not begun: All amounts paid, including the deposit and applicable GST, will be refunded.

  • If the offering has begun: The tuition allocated to classes that have not yet occurred, together with the corresponding GST, will be refunded.

A change of classroom or building within the same venue is not considered a change of venue.

Cancellation by Parents To Be

Programs, series and classes may require minimum enrolment.

If Parents To Be cancels an entire offering, all amounts paid for that offering, including deposits and applicable GST, will be refunded.

If Parents To Be cancels part of an offering and does not reschedule it, participants will receive a refund of the tuition allocated to the cancelled classes, together with the corresponding GST.

Receiving a Refund

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 15 days. The time required for the refund to appear in the purchaser's account will depend on the payment provider or financial institution.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.
